Position Description:

Tourism Tribe Digital Health Check Assessor

We are recruiting Assessors to perform a series of Digital Health Check for small businesses in the tourism and non tourism industries.

A Tourism Tribe Digital Health Check assesses a businesses online presence and reports back to them on how a potential guest may perceive their business. It is completed by Tourism Tribe assessors, using our proprietary online forms.

The aim of a Tourism Tribe Digital Health Check is to increase an operator’s online visibility to potential customers based on a series of recommendations offered to the operator to make improvements to their website, Search/Google My Business listing and social platforms.

Commonly, the Digital Health Check will be just one component of a larger project. It is usually the starting point of a project and an operator will sometimes go on to receive One on One Coaching Sessions with Tourism Tribe.  In these Coaching Sessions we will work through the list of recommendations and help implement the suggested changes. This process is aimed at improving an operators online presence and guiding them to strong foundations of a healthy digital presence.

Qualities & experience we are seeking in applicants

  • Articulate writing experience required
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Reliability and commitment to said availability per week 
  • The ability to translate the user experience of navigating a client’s online presence into an overarching comment.
  • Technical nouse required.
  • Enjoy using technology to get the job done efficiently
  • Digital marketing understanding.
  • Understanding of the role of websites, Google search and social media in a customer’s journey when they are seeking products and services or wanting to engage with a business (you will be able to access to our courses for free if you wish to upskill)
  • Efficient time use.
  • Good at following set procedures and working to a deadline without compromising standard of work

Tools you need for the job

  • A smart phone with the Facebook and Instagram app
  • Fast internet connection
  • An ABN
  • Assessor must use safe password management systems and are responsible for any data loss that may arise from using insecure passwords or inadequate cyber security. We recommend you set up a free LastPass account if you don’t have any.

  • 1 to 2 test assessments for you to complete
  • up to 1 hour of our senior assessor’s time to help you fine tune your skills
  • 1 hour of one on one help if required

Assessment Procedure

If we were to describe how to complete a Health Check in one paragraph:

You first claim the health check you will complete in our CRM, you then complete the Health Check by assessing the website. Search presence, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram profiles of the business. The assessment process consists in ticking yes/no checkboxes on our online forms and providing recommendations that help the business improve for each asset. The system will then spit out a beautifully laid-out report which will be sent to the client.

A little bit more technical information

Each Digital Health Check contains 5 areas of assessment: Website, Search (SEO and Local search ie. Google My Business), TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram (in that order). Each is completed as an individual assessment. Once you submit an assessment, you’ll be automatically taken to the next assessment, until you have completed all 5 parts.

At the back end, these 5 assessments then get merged into a Global document when you click the final submit button, and a snazzy PDF report (called a Digital Health Check) is complied. After you thoroughly check the PDF for errors, a senior assessor then spot check it. Once the Digital Health Check is given the all clear, it is sent to the client.

Remuneration

Once training is complete, Digital Health Check Assessments are remunerated per health check/ assessment at a rate of AU$40 per health check. It generally takes our trained assessors 45 min – 1h per health check. You will be paid as a contractor and will require an ABN.
