A bit about me
I’m a strong communicator with a love of languages, an interest in getting messages across and working strategically with my clients. With a diverse skill set and more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, public relations and communications, my main interest is the travel and tourism and medical sectors.
I’m particularly passionate about all things China. A Canadian-born Sinophile, I’ve had a 25 year association with China and Asia, and have been marrying my love of China with my love of travel and tourism in Amplify Me’s Australia China Tourism Connections (澳洲中国旅游链接) business, training and consulting to Australia’s tourism industry to help it better prepare for Chinese visitors.
My background
Since my first extended stay in China in 1988, I developed a passion for the region, and spent seven years working / studying in China and Thailand, where I developed an international joint venture and implemented a change management program prior to immigrating to Australia. As well as a BA from McGill University, I also have an Asian Studies graduate diploma and an Events Management diploma from MEA.
I’m currently Chair of the Lay Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and on the NSW Council of Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI). I’m also a strong advocate for the disability sector and regional tourism through my work with Inland NSW Tourism.
I love the intricacy of language and languages, and speak French and Mandarin.
